The overlook is approximately 200 yards from the lodge, with a broad view over the Shenandoah Valley. That distance describes the lodge-to-overlook walk, not every approach from surrounding parking areas. It can pair with a later stop around Bluemont or Round Hill.

Before you go
Day-use parking is $3. Dogs must stay leashed. Outdoor privies are available; indoor bathrooms are reserved for lodge guests. Wear suitable shoes for rocky ground and skip the overlook in unsafe weather. Leave time to return to the car before a tasting reservation.
