PLAN YOUR VISIT

Getting around wine country

Plan your ride before you choose your tasting stops. Choose a designated driver or book transport for the whole day, including the journey home.

A designated driver

Choose someone who will not be tasting to drive. Keep your stops in one area and allow time for country roads, parking and a meal. Include the journey back to your accommodation or starting point when planning the day.

Book a driver or tour

Confirm your pickup and return locations, the stops you want to visit, group size and any accessibility needs directly with the provider. Ask what the booking includes, whether venue reservations are arranged, and what happens if your plans change.

Cork and Keg Tours ↗

Private wine and brewery tours with dedicated transportation. Ask about arrangements for your group and route.

Vineyard Voyages ↗

Shared scheduled wine tours and private group options. Check the pickup arrangements and itinerary for the option you choose.

Using a taxi

Arrange both journeys in advance and confirm that the operator can collect you from the specific rural venue at your intended return time. Ask about the fare and waiting arrangements. A ride out does not guarantee a ride back.

Loudoun County transportation providers ↗

Arrange transport directly with the provider. A VWE visit plan does not book a ride or confirm availability.
